Ended up stumbling into this restaurant for a quick lunch. Restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived but it took the host some time to greet and guide us to our table. Didn't feel like they were prepared for guests.
We ended up ordering from their lunch special menu. I forgot exactly the names of our dishes but mine consist of a dynamite maki roll (8 pieces) and California maki roll (6 pieces). It was actually quite filling even though it might not sound like it was a lot of food that I had. I enjoyed the dynamite roll as it was fresh but the cali roll was a bit too cold for my liking because I couldn't really taste the freshness of the ingredients. My boyfriend ordered chicken katsu over rice with egg. I didn't really like the chicken because it was dry and rice was a little bit too salty. Our lunch meals also came with a side salad and a choice of miso soup or crunch noodle soup. The side salad was delicious as I thought it was more premium than most Japanese places. They have arugula in it which most only offer lettuce and portion was generous.
Overall, the staffs were friendly and food was just ok.
