  • i can't emphasize enough how AMAZING this place is. yeah, you know already about the pierogies and kielbasa and how delicious all of their beautiful, homemade, real-deal polish food is. but, if you're unfortunate enough to find yourself planning a wedding in pittsburgh, did you know they will cater your wedding? it feels like a magical secret that i want everyone to know about. They Will Cater Your Wedding! my husband and i got married in highland park and were trying to cut cost as much as possible, while still providing everyone with a meal worth travelling for. (that's like the least you can ask from a wedding, right?) the folks at s&d were SO KIND and communicative, answering all of our questions, being flexible with times and dishes, and generally making us feel cared for in a totally unexpected way. at first the choice was made because the price was right, but they went out of their way to make delivery and set-up that day seamless and amazing. the food was hot, plentiful, and there right when we wanted it. not to mention, again, how DELICIOUS everything was, especially for a crowd; his old-school polish family members were thrilled, my un-adventurous-eating family members, vegetarians, pittsburghers, out-of-towners, everybody was happy. seriously, give s&d your business if you need a caterer--they do not disappoint.
