  • I could not be more pleased with my experience at Sugar Skull Studio, or with my cut from the outstanding Khristine. I found this place while looking up reviews for another salon and am so happy I landed in Khristine's chair. The shop is odd for a Michigander like me--one of 20 or so studios in a beauty mall off McClintock. Turned out to be great, as there was tons of natural light and only two chairs. You have Khristine's full attention and the unbelievable benefit of her extensive knowledge of hair types & textures, and what it takes to make a cut amazing. I've never had someone be so good to my extra fine hair. The cut & style came with a head, neck, and hand massage, as well as a great conditioning treatment. The products are all top shelf, smelled amazing, and made my hair oh-so-happy. I'll be back for colors and cuts as long as I live within a hundred miles of this place. One other perk to note: Sugar Skull uses an online booking system so you can easily reschedule or make an appointment online, and you get e-confirmation of everything, and when I paid, my receipt was texted to me. It's great to be able to do everything without paper!
