  • I wanted to buy a bottle of Elmer T. Lee bourbon, and the distillery (Buffalo Trace) referred me to Magnum's. I called to confirm inventory and the Magnum's representative told me that the bourbon is in fact in stock. He went on to report that it would only be sold to me if I'm willing to make weekly purchases from Magnum's for 12 consecutive months. Not only have I never experienced this business practice, I've never even heard of it. After this encounter, I can't imagine buying Elmer T. Lee bourbon (or anything else) from them at any price.
