On 12/20/16, Academy sold us a new, in-box treadmill, model ZT8, that was to be delivered that week. When the delivery guy went to pick it up (which we had to pay for separately), he found that the treadmill had been discontinued. It was not available when they sold it to us. The manager (and today Customer Care) agreed they should have known it was unavailable and agreed to sell us the next model up for the same price. 10 days later and they still don't have one for us or even one lined up, just more empty promises. In today's call, the "operations manager" had the gall to tell us that January was a very busy month, so he wasn't sure when they'd have one for us. Fifty minutes with "Customer Care" today got us exactly no where.
Here's a hint for any business. Don't promise something you don't have and can't get, then switch the order to something you don't have and don't know when you can get it.
