We purchased a very expensive Heat-n-Glo fireplace from this store less than a year ago. This was a top -of-the-line, direct vent model (Cerona) that was to be used for heating. I was a bit concerned when the sales person did not know how to operate the remotes used to control the fireplaces.
Since being installed, it has broken twice. The first time it was turning on by itself and they came out and fixed it reasonably quickly. The unit has broken again, during the extreme cold we have been having this winter. Unfortunately, we found that the waiting time for service is almost 3 weeks! This is at a time when then temperature outside has been consistently around zero. Their only solution to getting faster service was to suggest that we find another dealer.
When you sell a $4,000 fireplace on the premise that it can act as an efficient furnace to provide supplemental heat, then the service needs to be reasonably prompt. This would be different if this was simply a decorative unit that lacked a significant heating function.
I would not recommend this store and I am concerned about the durability of the Heat-N-Glo brand
