My family and I were looking for a place to eat on our side of town this past Saturday and my mom suggested Lola's. I am so glad she suggested Lola's because we had a great dining experience with the service and food! We came in around 5 pm right before the dinner rush and were able to be seated right away. I think this used to be an old Ruby Tuesday's or Rubio's but regardless it was renovated very nicely. They have a large patio area and garden with real herbs and vegetables out front. As for the inside, it is a nice mixture of rustic and New Orleans Mardi Gras decorations. Our server was extremely friendly and efficient adding on to the overall experience.
We ordered:
-Crawpuppies ($5.29) - deep fried crawfish balls, a little on the salty side probably wouldn't order this appetizer again
-Shrimp and Crawfish Etouffee ($15.99) - served over rice, the shrimp and crawfish are smothered in a flavorful sauce, really liked this would order again
-Oyster Platter ($14.99) - mom ordered this, the oysters I was able to steal from her plate were fried to perfection and were juicy, came with 8 oysters and 2 sides
-Fried Oyster Loaf ($12.29) - dad ordered this, didn't have any but it looked tasty and good portion size as well, dad said he enjoyed it
My family really liked this place we will definitely be back!
