| - Starbucks, I just can't quit you.
I know, I know. "Lisa, I thought you said you were done with Starbucks?!"
Sometimes, you just can't kick a habit...and its not so much the coffee that turns me off to huge chains as the service.
A friend mentioned this new location to me a while back, and I've been meaning to come out for a few months now.
This morning, I decided to take a detour on my way to work and grab my old favorite iced coffee concoction.
First of all, let me say ,this location is HUGE. In comparison to several other tiny Starbucks locations I've visited, this place is a palace! Its roomy and open, with lots of tables, and was bright and clean.
I didn't stay long enough to check the bathrooms, but every Starbucks I've gone to has had pretty clean restrooms, so I'd imagine its the same here.
As I've said before, service has made and broken visits before at other locations. I'm not looking for a Cheers type welcome (NORM!) when I walk in, but its nice to hear "Welcome to Starbucks" or "Good morning!" when I come in. Heather and Danisha were super friendly, making jokes with me about how I take my coffee (a little coffee with my cream), and just having some friendly chat.
This is how coffee shops earn my business. Friendly people who don't appear to hate life or their jobs.
My coffee was absolute perfection...they got all the flavor shots in there for me, and all of the creamer I love so much...even though I probably should do skim milk instead...
So. Its a little out of the way for me, but I definitely plan to come back again, most likely with a book and some music, so I can just sit and enjoy the open lounge area.
Well done, Starbucks. I wish I could quit you. But I can't.
