  • Hello Yelpers. Been awhile since my last post, but wanted to give a shout out to Hobe Meats on 16th St. Don't go that often, but have been going there for almost 10 years. I see some reviews about bad service and people getting yelled at, and that has NEVER happened to me. People are always courteous and helpful. This place is great because you can get stuff like sweetbreads, marrow bones, and other oddball stuff that can be hard to find at your local grocery store. The meat is always top quality. Today for the first time I got a BBQ sandwich at the deli. Brisket sandwich, two sides and a drink for $8. Sandwich was huge and pretty tasty. Not the best brisket in town, but tender and fatty and flavorful. skip the BBQ sauce because it isn't really needed. the beans side dish had bacon or salt pork in every bite. Yum. Overall I think this place is a gem.
