Worked with Tristen to buy two 2017 vehicles. He low balled the Outback Touring six cylinder. He wrote the amount on an unofficial paper, highlighted it all in yellow pushed it towards me and ask me to sign. This indicated to me an implied contract, so I signed. Rather than providing the official paperwork he moved on to the second vehicle, a Legacy for my wife. He offered 5k off of msrp. He now leaves the office then returns with a dealer made factor invoice which includes what he was now offering to sell the vehicles for. The Outback was 10k more than what I had signed for, and the Legacy was 3k more than we discussed. We asked why the difference in prices. He said his originals offers were to see if we were really interested. When we continued to question him he started to argue with us. He said "Did I ever shake your hand and say we have a deal." When he said that we walked. On the way out he offered to reduce both cars an additional 2k. We kept walking. Sounds like low balling is how this dealership operates.
