| - While Dr. C and his staff are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone, after having already paid off my braces and having had them removed, I must say I am not the same happy customer as before. I think my experience is understandable because it does happen and may end up happening to anyone. When they remove your braces, they take your impressions for u to come back later that day for fitting and pick-up. Ok no problem, they strictly instruct that u wear them everyday or night and do not lose them because u will have to pay for them again. OK sure, if I lose my retainers I will be penalized by paying for them again-got it! Ok so it happened, someone else in my home replaced my retainers and she couldn't remember what she did with them. I was devastated to say the least. Quickly following Dr. C instructions, I called and told front desk my retainers were missing and I would immediately like to come in to pick up a copy pair. She instructed it costs 150 per retainer (top and bottom) to replace for a total of 300 for both. Ok the money was not the issue, but when I said ok when can I come in, she told me there wasn't an open appointment until 3 more days and they would only take a new impression and I would have to come back to pick the retainers up. As much as I made a fuss about it and I explained in their own instructions regarding the retains to wear them EVERYDAY because teeth can shift but now I have to wait 3 days just to get an impression??? By the time I get in to be seen my teeth would have shifted (as opposed to the position they were in when my braces first came off) and when they take the impressions, they will be impressions of my teeth "after" they shifted and permanently my teeth will stay that way because my teeth will shift in 3 days!!! Impressions take no more than 10 minutes, this practice should allow those who need replacement retains to come in same day or next day to take impressions immediately instead of being treated like it's just a routine check up as they even instruct not to go days without wearing them. Nonetheless I came n 3 days later upset, got the impressions taken and left. For the FIRST TIME me coming here I didn't like it. I have now had them for months and everyday I am upset because I can slightly see the difference, the movement. The photos they have when my braces first came off and now R not that much of a difference but for me and how sever my situation was, I was happier than any other patient Dr. C ever had!!! All of his appointments were sever to me and I made sure I made them all. Now I feel like I paid them only to b slapped in the face because they didn't keep their own word by assuring if something as replacement retains do occur (as I'm sure they do) that we be allowed to come in immediately to be taken care of. Of course they may be booked and full but it can happen and having a quick patient isn't going to kill them, plus they would still have a happy customer knowing they do their best everyday. Plus their logo is SMILE SUCKA, now I feel like, smile for what? Or r u all smiling at us sucka's for having got got?! No one tells u if u lose ur retainers, they don't keep ur original impressions and it may take days for them to get u into the office to be seen again- oh and yes your teeth can shift by then, oh yes and all the thousands of dollars U paid to us will be for nothing because U won't be AS happy as u were when we take ur braces off! I have not even called them back because of course they r a business, I'm going to get blamed (as they have done to me before) and I'm going to have to PAY to straighten back the 2 teeth that ever so slightly shifted and they won't care because they r a business first! I'm so pissed and I just want that same confident I had at first. Had I known I would have to wait days to get a new retainer things may b different. Just don't lose urs because u will suffer for it too
