| - I'm not one of those guys who will pretend to be an expert on Barbecue. I'm not going to get into the debate of Texas vs. Carolina vs. Arkansas vs. wherever. You've seen those charity ads with the tagline "Hunger knows no borders?" Well, as far as I'm concerned, good BBQ knows no state lines. If you insist upon knowing however, an Arkansas flag hanging inside provides a clue as to their roots.
As others have remarked, this place is located off the beaten track, and easy to miss. Even with the GPS bleating at me and the smell of the smokers wafting through my windows, I blew by it and had to circle back.
The shopping center it is located in is a bit down-at-heel, but not dangerous. Walk through the door and there is a podium at the back of the room with an "Order Here" sign. It may be unattended, but there is a hotel desk-bell to help you get their attention.
There is a nice selection of dishes, sandwiches, platters, and combos, so you should be able to find something however small or large your appetite.
The BBQ is excellent. Thoroughly smoked flavor; not dried out. They provide sauce, but it really doesn't need it.
All in all, a great find, and worth the visit.
