| - I just had a HORRIBLE experience at the Mesa Pavilions at Superstition store. When looking for a specific skin care product from a specific line, I was approached by a sales associate asking me if I had ever tried any First Aid Beauty products. I kindly told her I had and did not like them because they did not work for me. Rather than letting it go, she seemed offended and prodded me about which specific First Aid Beauty products I had tried. I replied with the several I had used recently and again reiterated that they did not work for me so I was looking to try something else from a different line. I already knew what I was looking for, so I just wanted to grab it and go while on my lunch break from work.
She proceeded to tell me she worked for First Aid Beauty and was in the process of establishing her own skin care line. She continued to push the product line after I had already told her several times that I was not interested. She said I have sensitive skin, to which I replied that I did not. It was clear that since I have red hair and fair skin, she automatically assumed that I had sensitive skin within the first 30 seconds of meeting me and tried pushing First Aid's sensitive skin products on me. She copped an attitude when I told her I didn't have sensitive skin and she became very snotty with me. I have been to several excellent estheticians and see my dermatologist regularly, so I feel confident that I know my skin needs better than a woman who had just met me 30 seconds prior.
She proceeded to be very condescending and rude to me. When she finally gave up, she returned to the customer she was helping (putting a facial mask on her). I think that was the worst part - she actually left her customer to try to push products on me and was relentless.
After I thought the ordeal was over, she had the audacity to come back to me 2 minutes later, again leaving her customer stranded, to try to push even MORE of the line's products on me. She said in a very rude tone, "I can tell by looking at you that you need ____ and ____". She would not leave me alone! I AGAIN had to tell her I was not interested and quickly left the store.
I wish I got her name because I would have liked to report her to the store's manager, but I was in too much of a hurry to leave. I normally do not complain about sales associates but this one was particularly rude. She is a First Aid Beauty rep, so steer clear of that aisle unless you want to be harassed by her! The experience was so bad that I will be going to Sephora from now on. If I absolutely HAVE to go to Ulta, I will make sure I go to a different store location!
