Worst experience getting tea I have ever had. I feel a lot of people have been reviewing the coffee and thought it was a good time to talk about the tea. I also wanted to discuss the atmosphere.
As for the tea-meh it was alright it certainly was not the best cup of tea I have ever had. It also tasted very watered down and took me forever to get. Yes I do understand that they make the drinks by the cup however it just takes way to long. I have made cups of loose leaf tea much faster by myself and I don't even have all the equipment they have there. Another person I was with had gotten the hot chocolate and said and I quote "the worst cup of hot chocolate I have ever had" and this is a person who loves hot chocolate and drinks a lot. Now back to the tea...I understand the pricing if you give me a lot however it really was not a large cup of tea.
Atmosphere-The store although it has a small coffee-shop feel I have never felt more uncomfortable in my life getting coffee. I was crammed between a wall and people I have never met. As I was waiting in line behind people I was given a hard time for the line being the wrong direction. When it certainly was not my fault I had just entered and stood behind the people in front of me. What had they wanted me to do cut in front of the people? Next I felt as if I had walked into a strangers kitchen who had friends over and was ordering tea. It's almost as if you have to personally know the people to get good service. The entire time I was their the barista's were talking to a group of people and paying almost no attention to the other customers. This making the atmosphere very awkward and unwelcoming. Dealing with the "taste your drink before adding anything to it" situation I understand yes they want you to try the drink as is however do not give people a hard time if they want to add something to it. I was honestly scared to ask for sugar in my tea after receiving it so I just drank it as is even though I did not like it. Now the last problem I had was when a customer after me was ordering something, I'm not sure what, I distinctively heard the barista say "what the F***" to him, and I was offended. I was even more offended because I had a 10 year old with me that easily could have heard the remark.
What I suggest is do not go to this place unless you personally know the people otherwise do not go. I have been twice and it will be my only two times going.
