| - I have been here a couple times for drinks, and have always enjoyed it as a bar, but the last time I came here and got food was when I decided it was one of my new favorites. What I remember about my first time is how much I liked the bartender-the reason I even came back. This past time we got a table in the back, and our waitress, though slightly sassy, put up with our antics and soon warmed up. It is a small space, so it could easily get crowded (I have never had trouble getting a couple seats at the bar, but a table can be hard to come by).
My friends and I split a couple bottles of wine, and started ordering some of their small plates--this quickly turned into us wanting to try ALL of dishes. As you should expect of a place with "wine" in the name, they offer a large assortment of cheeses to pair with. I don't eat much dairy, but my group got the prosciutto and Gruyere toastie and a goat cheese spread. We were so pleased with how good these were, were proceeded to additionally order a Hawaiian style mini sandwich (probably the favorite of the consensus) and something else that was also as delicious. We didn't even come here planning to eat, but it was all soo good we had to know what everything else tasted like, and for dessert went with their Nutella, chèvre, and raspberry toastie and a round of "not your fathers problems (or something similar)" which is a half shot of (not bad) tequila chased with a half glass of rose. I would recommend it all.
