  • 5 Church has been my favorite restaurant since they opened their first location right down the street from where I live here in CLT. I can't even count how many times I have visited and I would write a 5 star (10 stars if I could!) review for each and every visit - I have never been disappointed. The ambiance and decor is second to none, check out the ceiling when you visit, it's something you don't want to miss! The drinks are always on point with a friendly and knowledgeable bar staff that is able to answer any questions you may have. Last night, the bartender walked me through each bourbon they carried and what flavor profiles I could expect from each one. Amazing! The service is all around incredible at 5 Church. I have had many, many servers throughout my visits and have always been impressed with their knowledge and attentiveness. Over time, I have come to have a favorite server named David, he knows everything about the menu and ensures everyone at the table is enjoying theirselves. David is such a good server that I have chosen to wait additional time just for a table in his section - make sure to request him! Now, the food. I am always speechless. I have tried many things on the menu but my favorite (my partners favorite as well) is the 60 Second Prime NY Strip. The flavors that are captured by this dish are incredible. I have visited all three 5 Church locations (others in Charleston and Atlanta) and still always order that steak. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone that asks for recommendations, and trust me it is often. Since being a concierge at the Ritz-Carlton, to managing retail stores, I have had lots of opportunity to work with CLT residents and visitors alike and 5 Church is always top of the list for suggestions. Last night was my most recent visit and I'm already craving it again! Can't wait to return.
