| - Wish I didn't even have to give one star. Here is my experience with Absolute Dental...
Brought my daughter to Cheyenne/Durango location for a routine cleaning. I was in the waiting area for an awful long time wondering why it was taking so long for a cleaning. Then, a staff member, still wearing her gown, mask and gloves comes out to me in the waiting area, shoves a clipboard in my face and tells me I need to sign for my daughters fillings! (I should also add that this individual could barely speak or understand the English language)
I tell her no, there must be some mistake, my daughter is here for a cleaning only. She then says "you NEED to sign because the work is already done" It turns out that this same individual had come out to waiting area earlier, but had the wrong woman sign the consent forms thinking that she was the parent of my child! There happened to be another teenager in the office for dental work at the same time as my daughter, and the staff mixed up the two patients! For some reason the staff found this to be amusing. Believe me, I found nothing about the situation to be funny!
I would never have given them permission to put fillings that day. They performed a procedure on my minor child without my permission. To make matters worse I was forced to pay for this work! Then, on the ride home my daughter tells me that at first they were beginning to prep her for an extraction! Fortunately she was paying attention and spoke up. At that point Dr Navales asked her what her mom's name is, and when it didn't match with the signed consent, the staff then realized there was a mix up of the two girls. To make matters even worse, I have been waiting 3 weeks for acknowledgement from the corporate office of Absolute Dental. My first complaint was the day of the mix up, and I have contacted corporate once a week for the past 3 weeks and someone always says "a manager will call you back by the end of the day". This has not happened yet. In fact, the people at corporate have been extremely rude and uncaring about the entire situation. I seriously cannot believe how poor the customer service has been! One would assume, that after breaking the law by performing a procedure on my child WITHOUT CONSENT, that this establishment would want to keep a story like this from getting out. If a manager would have simply returned my call, and issued me a refund of the amount I was forced to pay as a result of their error, I would not be sharing my story on this post. This is a serious matter that the company is just brushing off as though it's no big deal. I will continue to tell my story using every outlet I can think of until I get acknowledgement, an apology, and a refund!
