  • We knew we wanted to see a show for our anniversary staycation, but couldn't agree on a show that we'd both want to see. That is, until we stumbled across this little number. Tucked in the backside of Miracle Mile, in Planet Hollywood, the V Theater is a little awkward. The box office is smack dab in the middle of a mall, and for some reason, the Will Call line moves infinitely slower than the normal line to buy tickets. The theater, itself, is on the top floor - wear your hiking boots. Once in the theater, things got real intimate. The seating is packed - like a flight on Spirit or Jet Blue. It was extremely uncomfortable and set off my anxiety as soon as the seats filled. Luckily, there was an empty seat on the end, next to my partner, so I was able to move over and give myself some room to enjoy the show. By the time the show started, I was already wanting it to be over so I could get out of the theater. But then something magical happened. The show started and it was good. Really good. The dancers were talented and really good looking, even as zombies (To the dancer with the shaved head, COME THROUGH!!!). The main stars of the show were the host and Mikey. Their chemistry was hilarious, and they each stole the show in their own ways. It was especially funny when they were making each other laugh on stage. Those candid moments are often the highlights of the show. In short, the cast made me forget about my claustrophobia. I salute you. The show is the only reason why I'd ever tell anyone to go to that theater, and it's a good reason. I wouldn't mind going back for it.
