When I walked into the lobby of this place yesterday, I was excited. The decor was awesome and the little cafe downstairs was full of local students having coffee and pretending to do homework. The front desk staff, Stephen, I think, was extremely nice and got us into our rooms in just a few minutes. The rooms are small which is okay because they are clean. There's a mini refrigerator in the room which would be nice for some leftovers. The shower stall is so small that I felt like I was camping. I like camping so I'll give them that one too, especially since the peppermint soap made my face tingle. The location to this place couldn't be better if you want to see the small shops and variety of different restaurants supported by the local campus. So overall, this place is pretty good. The rating they get is because of their lack of a decent workout area. I spend a week at a time on the road. This place is in the north where it's already freaking cold and the "state of the art" fitness center as described in the hotel information book is a broom closet with faulty equipment. The dumbbells only go up to 25lbs (The industry standard is 50lbs) and the treadmill isn't close to level so my 10 second run looked more like someone shot in the leg trying to escape a grizzly bear. Seriously guys, you spend that much money renovating this place and finish off with no gym?
