| - Always a hit. There is a reason why this place has been around since 1938. This is Vegas gold.
First off, my pancakes were delicious. Seriously the best in town. Big, thick and fluffy with crispy edges, smothered in drawn butter. They almost don't even need syrup, they're that good. Oh, and they have good coffee, too.
Service there is always a little hit or miss. The host area is confusing, and they don't always have a host around, so you almost feel as if you should seat yourself, although the sign clearly says to wait.
We were seated by what seemed to be the manager finally. Several minutes later, a buzzer came by with waters for us. We were already set to order, and were starving, so we gave him our order.
Our server finally came around when she delivered our food. My partner made a comment about not knowing who was taking care of us and she said that she was. She was very present and pleasant after that interaction. We ordered some fresh pastries to-go from her (there was a runner taking tray after tray of baked goodness past us), which are delicious (I'm eating a bear claw as I write this review lol).
Aside from the few service hiccups, this is one of my favorite spots to eat in Vegas. I'll be back!
