I was shopping on line for months before I decided to buy a vehicle. I was well aware of price range and new car incentives including interest rate deals through Ally Bank which was formally known as GMAC. I found a vehicle on line with a great price and called. I knew my credit was great and that I would qualify for the best program. To make a long story short, they "tried" to completely take advantage of me and apparently thought that since I was a repeat new car buyer that I must be stupid. By the time I left, the payment I got was $120 per month less than what the sales manager initially quoated which over 72 months would have been $8640 more out of my pocket. I also noted a few days after the purchase that the sales price mysteriously changed by about $300 more. Unfortunately, I didn't catch it at closing. I recently had a minor problem with my new vehicle and tried to contact the service department which resulted in voice recordings. I finally got to the receptionist and told her I just had a simple question and would like to talk to someone living. She gave me the big, rude sigh and transferred me finally. I have already decided to find another dealer to handle my service work and extended warrranty. I have absolutely no confidence in "today's" Thorobred Chevrolet at all. I feel very sorry for the salespeople in the trenches who work so hard to try to bring customers in, only to have them insulted by their condescending sales managers who are neither intelligent or friendly.
