| - Village Grocer is the considered the neighbourhood grocer. Small and cozy, right in the midst of the massive subdivision that is Markham! I know a lot of people that go here, they do have an amazing bakery section, full of fresh baked pies, cakes and cookie! They also have (or so I've been told) a pretty good meat counter. Every holiday they sell out on turkeys and hams. They sell free-range turkeys. You have to order much in advanced, and they only have a limited number, so look out!
The produce and grocery section aren't the greatest. They don't have very many things, you'll most likely have to subsidize your Village Grocer shopping with another supermarket. They have a vast array of frozen meals, like lasagnas and such. I've never tried, but they are priced super expensive that you might as well go to a restaurant for that type of money!
I used to come here for the gingerbread cookies. The last time I went, they raised the price of one small gingerbread to $2.99 and it wasn't even good! It was hard and extremely crunchy! What a jip. There's lots to buy at the Village Grocer, gingerbreads aren't one of them!
