| - Went in with a friend who is a member here to try out a yoga class. Both of us are AD Military, and I signed up for the guest pass online. Guest passes are for state residents ONLY, and the manager would not make any exceptions to this, even though we had our military ID's with us. He insisted they don't allow it, even though on a previous day, another employee stated it would be fine. He then, behind the American flag hanging, said we could pay $15 for the day, or $35 for the month- I left my information and went to class, because it was starting soon.
The yoga class was mis-advertised. It was a very beginner level class, with bright lights, and members slamming medicine balls against the wall connected to the studio space. During savasana, the lights turned on, and that was just bad luck.
Though the facilities looked clean, well kept, and well lit (which is why there are two starts here), the management was pretty unreasonable, argumentative, and not accommodating.
That being said: other gyms in the Scottsdale area have had no problems saying "yes we only offer guest passes to AZ residents, however they would allow us to work out for the day and report back. Pretty unsatisfied.
