First things first, I've never been to a vape shop. But I'm curious, so I stop into Puff Vapor because it looks like a decent shop from storefront appearances. It's an interesting concept to be able to sit down and try vape flavors, and there is a row of barstools against a glass counter. There's an extensive catalog of flavor offerings with descriptions including varying levels of tobacco content.
My boyfriend and I sit down and peruse the listings, and are welcomed by the gentleman behind the counter. Upon finding out neither of us are trying to quit a smoking habit, the employee says he would be "very uncomfortable" selling us any products unless we were trying to quit smoking. I did not know vaping was such an exclusive hobby, and was not impressed with how this employee handled customer service. It was awkward to say the least, and I could not recommend this place to others: smokers, vapers, or none of the above.
