SUMMARY
Stayed one night. Would have asked to switch rooms if I hadn't settle in late in the evening. In the end - I DID NOT SLEEP!
CONS
-The hotel's email feedback url expired by the time I got home from my trip to write them about the following complaints :(
-We had a room against the back of the elevator: the sound and vibrations were significant enough to wake me each time it was used (additional rugs or tapestry might have helped with the sound but not the vibration)
-There was a metal/wire lamp that also jingled constantly with any room vibration, not a helpful choice for the comfort of the room
-The overhead lighting came on (on its own) at 8AM as if it was programed to do this - so, after a sleepless night I had to go over and shut them off before trying to get a few more minutes of rest
-Less critical but still worth mentioning:
+The shower vent was rusty and could have used some fresh paint
+The shower vent blades could have been angled different to conceal the black hole it fed to, but instead you look directly into the abyss... weird
+The overhead shower light had collected some dead bugs
+Lighting control labels had worn off so it took some guess work to simply turn on and off
PROS
-Newly redecorated bedrooms and fancy bathroom appliances were high quality
-Hardwood floors make for a clean/allergy friendly environment
-Warm Cookies at Check-in
-Good location in a developing area
RECOMENDATIONS
-If you stay here, make sure you are placed far away from the elevator
-If you have a car, park it yourself rather than valet because - although you have to pay the same either way - it takes a long time to get access to your car if you need to get something or put something away. Though the valet staff was very nice and helpful, this was not a quick process for us.
-If you need to get around, take an uber taxi rather than waiting for the shuttle. Although the shuttle is free, we spent around $6 and did not have to wait the estimated hour!
