I've been a member at probably a dozen different gyms throughout my life and I think this one is my favourite. It has a TONNE of racks, and is relatively uncrowded (although more and more people seem to be joining and staying as time goes by)
I hear and read a lot of people talking about intimidation at gyms, which I've never really had, being a relatively young male, but I can now say I know gym intimidation- the ratio of hardcore gym-goers who are 'bout dat lyfe is quite high here. Even if he never so much as acknowledges your presence-- deadlifting 200 pounds while the shorter guy beside you is deadlifting 700 is hard not to feel emasculated over. If intimidation is a problem for you, you may not want to be here.
Shawn, the owner, is super helpful and approachable. He can give you tips on anything, and there's actually a pretty cool sense of community here.
Other than that, I just really wished they got a scale. This is the first gym I've ever been to without a scale. My peers tell me if I were serious I would just buy my own. But I AM serious. Seriously broke.
