  • I called this company because my good friend here in Boulder City has used them in the past with positive results. She actually gave me Raul's name but he was busy so his brother was the one who came out to give me an estimate. I wanted the pine needles cleaned up off the rocks in my desert landscaping, a small dead Italian Cyprus tree removed, drip system run and checked for all the plants and general trimming up of everything. He was clearly wanting to trim the trees which I pointed out was not a good idea since it was the heat of summer and could harm them. He also said my giant Spanish Broom which I've had for years and it blooms beautifully with fragrant yellow flowers, was a weed & I should let him remove it. NOT! He was obviously looking for ways to inflate the already what I considered exorbitant cost of $700 he quoted me. He said he and his crew would be here all day long and blah, blah, blah and I needed the work done since we'd just moved back into the house and have a child in a wheelchair who needed access to a clean yard. Since my friend recommended them I felt I should go ahead and do it. The day of the cleanup three young boys (yes boys, one was his son, one his nephew & a friend) arrived without him and at a later time than he told me. They were moving very slowly and not accomplishing a lot so I called him and he said he had an emergency and couldn't come because his brothers vehicle had broken down and he had to pick him up. Then after only about an hour of "work" they disappeared for what I assume was a lunch break and I called him again & asked where they were? He came by a while later and long ass story short, he left when they returned. The weather got cloudy and was threatening to rain so they kicked it in gear and hurried through the rest of the job. He returned and everything I asked him about doing he answered with the same answer, that wasn't included in the quote. Well, shame on me for not making him provide me with a written estimate of services and shame on him for ripping me off as was pointed out to me just today by a neighbor's lawn cleanup service providers. What I paid for and what was done was clearly not a fair exchange. Wish I'd gotten other estimates prior to hiring this company. If I could give 2.5 stars I would.
