  • The only reason they're getting 2 stars is because I used to have great experiences coming here...not so much anymore. I've been coming here for a couple years and usually don't have any problems. Nothing has been super outstanding but nothing has been super awful either, up until I picked up my dog from boarding her. Before I get into that, my dog is a pitbull (that shouldn't really make a difference but it does) again, when i first started bringing her, myself nor the vets handling her have never had any problems with clipping her nails and I always request her nails to be clipped when I take her just because that's the easiest time for it to be done. WELL, on one instance, i dropped her off, they called me and told me that she was extremely nervous and they weren't going to be able to clip her nail unless they sedated her...UMMMM. My 1st question is, who was handling her and how were they treating her?? and 2nd, usually the nail clippings take place after a day or 2 or just until they've gotten acclimated to their kennel. So now because of this incident, her chart says "WARNING OR CAUTION" all over it. Honestly, I get that you have to take precaution because you think she's going to eat you but it's also a little insulting that they have that on her chart. Maybe if you're scared of larger dogs, you're in the wrong profession, just saying. I've boarded my dog here quite a few times, even though she comes back with raw elbows (probably because she'd rather not sleep on their blankets) the prices are just much better here than other places to board my dogs. Well the last time I brought her here, I was to pick up my dog in the morning around 930, which I did. But I noticed that she needed to go potty, REALLY badly so it leads me to believe that because they knew I was coming to pick her up around 930, they just figured they didn't have to take her out to go potty? I was not ok with that, considering on the ride home she also went to the bathroom in the back of my car. Now, my dog is almost 8 years old and she's house trained, not once in my 5 years that I've had her has she ever even had an accident, so taking a poop in my car definitely left me to believe she probably hadn't been let out to go to the potty since the night before. That's extremely frustrating, especially when you leave your pet in the care of someone else, someone that you think you can trust. On a separate instance, I had taken her dog bed with her and again, I was there in the morning to pick her up but when they were about to bring her out to me, they told me she pooped on her bed and that they needed to bathe her and wash her bed. Ok, great, you need to bathe her and wash the bed, but WHY is she doing that while she's here? Again, she's completely house trained and doesn't have accidents, EVER. It only leads me to believe that they don't take the dogs out for a potty break in the morning if they're getting picked up in the morning. NOT OK. If you decide to board your pet here, my advice to you is to tell them you'll be there in the afternoon to pick up your pet, just so that they take your baby out for a potty. Maybe they need to do a little bit of cleaning house because some of the people at the front are not the friendliest, most welcoming people and the people in the back, I'm sure are just there to collect a paycheck, not to give the care one would expect. Not sure what changed about this place but something has and I think i'm going to have to be in search of a new vet for my dogs. All recommendations welcome :)
