Snobbery is quite the perfect word to describe the staff here.
During the duration of my stay in Toronto, this was the only store I spent money on clothing because I actually found a steal, which hasn't been the norm of my Torontonian retail therapy. The clothes here are everything a girl could want that is current--florals, hi-low dresses and skirts, bustiers and the closet staple, lace tops.
I can imagine how people sit out until the sales because there were one-in-a-million pieces for each style...or they could be hiding it in the stock room.
The fitting rooms are like Aritzia, which irk me a lot--no mirror inside rooms and people hogging the one mirror to see if it fits every aspect of their bodies--is this a trend among Canadian stores?! The girl managing the fitting room was quite helpful and gave honest feedback and recommendations. I had a strange encounter with one of the sales girls, which I can't remember but it was awkward as hell, for sure. Cashier almost didn't offer a bag for my shirt. End of story.
