Overview-
A fantastic option to see the city sights many of which are difficult to access otherwise by public transportation.
The entire loop takes approximately 2 hours and is multilingual.
The Bus leaves from the Tourist Centre in downtown Montreal. You may also purchase your tickets there.
The Highlights and Fun Facts that I Enjoyed:
* The ascent and descent of Mont Royal....the bus made a 4 minute stop for passengers to take panoramic pictures and selfies with the entire view of the city of Montreal below
* The commentary about Chinatown in which the Gate was made in Shanghai, China and delivered to Montreal (there are 4 Gates from Shanghai in various parts of the city). Shanghai is the "sister city" of Montreal
*Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal is the largest church in Canada and people often request penance by kneeling and going up the steps in the center set of stairs
*La Presse News Agency in Montreal is the largest French News Agency outside of France
*The oldest "French-Canadian" Home in Montreal is now a Brazilian Restaurant
*The Old Port Ships are mostly for tourists..only 10% of Cargo accesses this area
*1967 World's Fair was held here
*There are over 100 Communal Gardens in Montreal
*Outside of Quebec, Manitoba has the largest French speaking minority
*Lowest Rate of Crime and Violence in North America
FYI-Try to get on and get a seat on the bottom level on the left next to the driver...it feels like you are riding "shot gun" style and the views are the best because no one's head is in your way!
