  • *****3.5 stars******* I've read these reviews before my trip to M Resort, and I suppose I expected way too much because dude, I was NOT impressed. Mehhh. It's okay. I was in town a couple weeks ago, visiting some family and with all the chatter about this buffet, we decided to go. We arrived at the hotel at 2:30. There was already a packed line. Mind you, I was already starving, having saved my appetite for what I thought was going to be this orgasmic buffet. I really was at that point of hunger where anything and everything would taste good! Anywho, we waited and waited and waited in line. Finally, almost two hours later 8 of us went to the counter and paid about $26 each. We were seated quickly and our waiter was very nice and promptly brought us some water and iced tea. Now, for the food. It's basically a world buffet, a little bit of this and that from all types of cuisines. We started at the seafood and Italian food. My family chowed down on the crab legs - plate after plate after plate. I'm not a crab leg girl. So moving on to the meat. The prime rib was pretty good. It could have been a little bit more tender. They have a small array of sushi, which was pretty gross (sorry, sushi snob here). Being from Hawaii, I was happy to see that they had a Hawaiian buffet. They had kalbi ribs, kalua pig, etc etc. It was OK. I mean, it's pretty hard to beat the home made food. I do give this buffet credit for their all you can drink beer and wine! The dessert bar is quite large but the quality was OK. Nothing to really rave about. They have rows of bite-sized pies, cake, & cookies. They also have an espresso bar and ice cream cooler where the attendant can scoop your desired flavor into a small cup or bite-sized cone. I probably won't be back though because the food is not worth the long wait in line.
