  • Rudest, most unprofessional, unreliable "service" I have ever experienced in my life. I would give them a -5 if that were possible- and I'm an interior designer. I don't give negative reviews of vendors in my field lightly. First, the machines they sold me in August or September of 2014 when I moved here do *not* have the one feature I emphasized was most important to me & I asked to verify before buying, so I was stuck with them by the time I realized that. Then they broke the *first* time I used them - and *four* days later, they still had not returned my call. Then Rocky gave me a gigantic rash of shit & blew me off, trying to tell me they would not service them. They finally did, but it was nasty. They also never delivered the drying rack I paid for- *or* processed the $200 rebate he said he would take care of. Now both machines have probs., so I called them because I think they are still in warranty. Georgianne told me the tech would call to "let [me] know" when he was going to be here within the schedule time range. At 2:17 today, he called & left a message saying that he was "going to be on [his] way 'shortly'". My phone has been going right to voice mail lately, so it didn't ring and I just got the voice mail. I sent him a text message at 3:05 when I saw the msg. telling him this & asked him 2 call on the intercom when he got here if I didn't answer when he called when he got here. 4:45ish, he still hadn't shown up or called again, so I called back & asked if I'd missed him- and he didn't seem to even remember if he'd been here or not! Told me I'd have to reschedule, then said he would call the shop to see if they could "dispatch" him or someone else. *I* called the shop and very politely explained the above to Georgianne, who went off to talk to someone and came back and told me he said he *had* called again. Then she put Rocky on the phone- and he started yelling and screaming at me again. I told him very quietly exactly what happened, and he just twisted my words. I can prove I didn't get another call that the tech had arrived, along with exactly what he said in his msg.- then Rocky screamed at me for lying about not getting a call since I had just said I *did* get one. He couldn't seem 2 get it through his head that I was talking about 2 different calls- one not even made but they swore it was. And why should I even expect the tech to see or answer a text? He kept shouting, louder & louder, having the nerve to tell me that *I* was being rude & he wouldn't sit there and listen to *me* screaming - which I most definitely was not. I knew from before he had an insanely short fuse & vicious temper & I was making *damn* sure to try not to set him off. Hell, I was trying to de-escalate him! (Former paramedic crisis intervention training & lots of SUCCESSFUL exp. w/crazed people) Screamed that they won't even ring the doorbell! They won't even come if no one answers when they call to say they are on the way! Shouted things like "I'm not a dog, I'm not a slave, I don't sit here and take orders from anybody or let them be rude to me or my wife!" & more in the same vein. Screamed that they didn't even want to come service the machines- just like before. I asked if they were still in warranty, again quite calmly, and if they could be serviced by someone else under that warranty and he didn't even know. They didn't verify the warranty when I called initially?? Even if they didn't, he should have still been able to answer the question if someone else *could* provide warranty service if they *are* still in warranty. Not just raising his voice, but screaming at the top of his lungs. Clearly completely & totally unglued, escalating by the moment just like before. If I had been in front of him in person, I would have called the police for assault, he was that vicious, nasty & abusive. Georgianne (his wife) is nice, but he should be locked up & obviously you have to still deal w/him. I pity her. My brother & late aunt have both used this nutjob & I cannot fathom why. When I first went there, I *told* him I was an INTERIOR DESIGNER so he knew there would be more business in it if I was happy. Obviously doesn't care. He no longer carries the higher end brands that most clients want because he doesn't get people asking for them, he told me himself. He must have alienated the entire higher end clientele of this city & its designers, because those things are in *huge* demand within easy range of that store. I belong to ASID & ASID recommends Don's Appliances & a couple of others, but definitely never mentioned Perla's. I don't know if this is deliberate or not, but Don's people are *much* nicer & they *want* your business. I have also been involved with other key design organizations including NKBA- kitchens & baths. Designers *always* share our experiences w/contractors & vendors, Rocky boy; we owe it to our clients 2 find the best. You really ought to know that by now.
