  • Moved to Charlotte this past summer and we've been a distillery tour kick ever since, so when I saw the Groupon I scooped it right up. Just 15 minutes from Uptown, the MRD tour is a fun weekend activity. The tour itself isn't very extensive, it lasts about 30 minutes, but it is definitely one of the more informative tours we've taken. The owners are very kind, welcoming, down to earth, and open to answer all of your questions. In addition to taste testing 5 spirits, you are given a shot glass (to keep) which you can bring back at any time for more tastings. Make a day of it and visit Doc Porter's and Great Wagon Road distilleries as well.
