Our first few appointments here were fine and uneventful. At my last appointment in October 2017 they tried to upsell me multiple times on everything from teeth whitening to braces. I have perfectly straight teeth from braces as a teen! I looked past these minor annoyances until I received a bill 3 months later in January of 2018 for x-rays that they said weren't covered by my insurance for my routine cleaning in October. I scheduled my cleaning in advance of my appointment so they should have verified my coverage, especially for a routine appointment.
Here is where I got upset, 15 days after I received my invoice they sent me a 45 days past due invoice. How am I 45 days past due when I didn't even receive the invoice until 2 weeks prior? After calling multiple times and getting either a ringtone or a busy signal, I was finally able to get through to someone who actually told me that they aren't able to verify benefits and coverage due to HIPAA with insurance companies. HUH?? I've been a patient there for a while and they were able to verify coverage before this visit! So then we discussed them waiving the invoice which the billing woman said she will do but only if my family and I remained there as patients. She went on to say she would not waive the payment until we had our appointments completed. Talk about a shake down!
I just logged into their Billing System and paid the bill right now and will never set foot in there again. Maybe my experience was an anomaly but there are so many dentists around I would say do your research and find someone else.
