rev:text	4.5 stars for food, 3.5 stars for service = this 4 star review. We visited for lunch today, opting for the piccolo gusto menu (2 courses for $15). I had the arugula salad (delicious), my friend had the tomato bisque (tasty and not too tomato soup-esque), I had the cavatelli (very tasty although the pasta was a bit past al dente), she had the short rib ravioli (really tasty but only 2 ravioli???), and we both had the crab cake sandwich. Our server brought out bread at the beginning of our meal--the bread was okay but nothing special; the butter was a nice sweet cream butter. The crab cake sandwich was also quite small but somehow we were both full (probably too much bread beforehand!). We also did the feature wine flight which was quite nice. I'd come back for the wine and probably for the piccolo lunch. On the service--our server was very distant and not particularly friendly. She stopped back at all the right times, asked all the right questions, but left us feeling a bit chilled. Maybe this is desirable at dinner time in the dining area, but for a lunch on the patio, I'd like a bit more engagement with the customers. On the ambiance--Casbah is quite chic in the dining room, and the patio is more casual. The patio is a slightly awkward mix of the two, though, as the wrought iron chairs are clunky and hard to move without obnoxious noises, and the hostess stand is located within the restaurant so everyone troops by the patio diners. Contrast this with the upscale food and plating and it's a little strange, but not so off-putting to stop me from returning.
