  • Wow! What a great hotel to stay if you're a local! Over the summer we decided to plan a Staycation and decided on the Golden Nugget downtown! We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and OMG. Using the VIP option - was well worth it! As soon as my family arrived we checked in the car at Valet, walked in and I B-Lined it to VIP! U should have seen the line just at hotel registration!!! It was cray cray! I found the VIP check-in .. they were very friendly and there was only one other person in front of me! I gave them my credit card and ID... they gave me two keys and directed Me to the Gold Rush Tower! The room was super Clean and had a lot of space, large and comfy bed, separate dining area, comfy L shaped sofa, two TV's and the bathroom was huge! It had a double shower, separate bath tub and enclosed room just for the toilet. Of course the main highlight was the pool, water slide and aquarium u zoom past in the slide. Seeing sharks up close was fascinating! My kids loved it! We got to relax and unwind...having a few drinks by the pool - it was fun for the whole family! We will be back for sure!
