Well my story only gets worse. After my horrible ordeal, management agreed to refund me for their failures. Having promised that, once again I trusted them. I should have known better! They did NOT refund the "full amount" as stated, I actually STILL owed and now SEVERAL MONTHS OF LATES FEES + INTEREST. Not knowing that (because why would I think I owe if the GM specifically told me I did not owe a balance and it was refunded...) I went about my days until I realized my credit score was in jeopardy. I called the store and spoke to their new GM several times. I explained my situation, both previous and current. He told me he would call corporate to figure out why there was still a balance, as it shows that I did not receive a bill or receipt for this charge (exactly right - I was never given a bill for the work/product from said day). I let him know if I owed for something that was not part of what was being refunded (even though I was told EVERYTHING was refunded) and provided a legitimate bill for said product/work, I would be willing to pay it. However, I would not be paying the late fees because this is just extremely unfair and bad business. He never called back, shocking.. Now, not only am I STILL dealing with Firestone, I am also dealing with my credit score and a $200 bill - ALL LATE FEES AND INTEREST. Seriously?? I don't even have words for this. Don't tell a customer you are refunding them for the FULL AMOUNT after putting them through 2 weeks of hell to only charge them and damage their credit score. What a horrible horrible place!
