  • Came here around 1130am, simply because we were on that side of town and were hungry. I had been there in the evening just for drinks, but never ordered food. Bartender, I think his name was Darrin, was very polite and inviting. 5 stars for Darrin. My friend ordered an appetizer of a cup of chili. Entree being beef Manhattan. I'm a vegetarian and there wasn't a whole lot of options, so I went with the appetizer combo. Originally, it's fried zucchini, fried mushrooms, cheese sticks and "badger bites", which has meat, so the server graciously offered to double up on the veggies. Friend didn't get his chili before his meal, so he sent it back. The appetizer combo was "meh" at best. However, the fried mushrooms were fabulous. Server dropped the food, and disappeared the entire meal. I wanted to order something else, and by that time, the bar was getting busy, and we couldn't get the bartender's attention to call her over. We were being bombarded with cigarette smoke, so we finished our meals and were ready to leave. Again, no sign of the server. Finally, she delivered the (wrong) check. Then, took another 10 minutes of waiting before my friend went to look for her to cash us out. Being on the opposite side of town, and average, at best, food and food service, will likely not go back.
