BUYER BEWARE!!!
Went to GiGi's Cupccakes Friday and I WILL NOT be back. I asked if they used eggs, and was told "no there aren't any eggs. That's why we don't refrigerate our cupcakes." I found out they do not refrigerate anything after it's made. Frosting, topping, or cupcakes. It all sits out at room temperature overnight or longer. So cakes aren't made fresh everyday unless they run out. Yuck. He also told me that room temp is 72 plus degrees unless the oven is on. What kind of fresh ingredients don't need refrigeration? The cupcakes must be chocked full of preservatives. So you're paying $$$ for a grocery store cupcake. I think the same people own and manage all 3 stores so I bet it's the same there too. Hope my 'Yelping' saves someone else time and money.
Follow-Up to Geoff's comment. The frosting is NOT refrigerated once it's made. And some cupcakes DO sit out overnight and are frosted the next day. I called both the Camelback and FLW store to be sure. I didnt want to post something untrue. Plus you can see the kitchen at the FLW shop so its not a secret anyway.
