| - TL;DR: Clear and honest service. Under-promised, over-delivered.

I've tried to get various work done at other shoe repair places to no avail - there's even one around the corner from me.
But wherever I've gone, I'm told high prices and long waits. Until I went to Chagrin for the first time ...
Alex was very upfront and clear with me. I needed a zipper repaired or replaced. I needed it done that week and I accepted it might cost me a bit more.l because of the rush.
Alex told me if it needed to be replaced, it would be a bit expensive. If it could be repaired, he'd know in a day and could have it done in time and at a price right in the middle of my budget.
He told me to call the next day, but he didn't give me the chance to call him. 2 hours before I was to call him, he called me to tell me, "It's done."
"Really?!"
"Yes, it's done. You can pick it up."
"Um ... is it okay for me to pick it up on Thursday or Friday?" I asked a bit sheepishly.
"That's fine."
"How much?" I asked.
"The price I told you."
"Really?!"
"Yes."
"Wow. Thank you."
If the outcome is different than expected (when I pick it up), I'll change my review. If it's as expected, I'll delete this sentence. If Yelp doesn't let me edit, oh well.
This is my first Yelp review. But I found this place because of Yelp, so it's only right to return the favor.
