I felt quite welcome at 2 in the afternoon for lunch alone and enjoyed chatting with the friendly waiter. It was quiet, because at that hour it was almost empty, as expected. I enjoyed the steak au poivre, which was not quite traditional, but OMG the mashed potatoes were right up there with the best I've ever had. And I've had Michel Richard's, which he cheerfully admits are 50% butter. With all the candy around it might be a good birthday spot for kids as well. The potatoes were a memorable indulgence, so alcohol or dessert were not required. Thank you for the Groupon, Sugar Factory.
