I had my oil changed not too long ago and today I noticed that my other fluids are really low.
I called and asked about it and the guy on the phone said they do it for an additional $5. I mentioned that it wasn't done and no one mentioned it and he said "we have signs hanging up". I guess I didn't notice the signs. He also said someone should have walked me to the car and gone over with it but no one did.
Low rating today b/c they failed to inform me and charging an additional fee seems penny pinching ! My past experiences have been that shops top off for free.
At least he said I could come back and get them topped off for $5. Yippee? (Another errand and he didn't offer it for free for the inconvenience)
Clarification:
I was paid over $40+ (I don't remember the specifc amount but it was way, way over $10) for my oil change b/c I wanted a better quality oil. It's suppose to last for 6000 miles vs the typical 3000. I do understand that a $10.00 oil change would be super low and paying for topping off fluids would be reasonable. No hard feelings towards the auto shop. I just feel that I paid a premium amount and free fluids are typical when paying more.
