| - I had a seafood craving and did my Yelp research on this place. It was seat yourself and it took a bit to get anyone to the table even though the dining area was almost empty, so of course I'm sititing there freaking out wondering if this was a good idea while checking out the distressed walls, some TVs, and a non-overpowering Mardi Gras theme. Not sure what was my apprehension because I was overwhelmingly pleased with Everything!
I had to try one of everything, but settled on the shrimp platter, meatloaf po boy, etouffee, and seafood jambalaya. Like I said, everything was good, but let's focus on the that meatloaf.
My sons have never had a real po boy, which in my experience has always been a battered fried seafood. I asked our server her recommendation and she "promised" the meatloaf version would be worth it. Oh, if I could eat one of these every day!!!
I'm also a beer girl and had a little bit of trouble navigating the list, as it was just the labels and not the style of beer, but again my knowedgable server was able to assist. I had a refreshing german pilsner while waiting for the food to arrive but switched to a New Orleans Dixie lager with the remainder of our meal. I liked it so much I went to the store and bought a sixer!
The staff was so nice! The food - I guarantee (I hope you read that in your best Justin Wilson voice)
And Get There EARLY because by the time we finished this place was packed and a line was going out the door!
