The office staff lacks communication skills. I was misinformed and forced to take an appointment to get a Physicians result form signed by the drs office early in 2014. And guess what, when you take an appointment you get billed for an office visit even if you don't get any service done... That is the Office Policy . I have got many forms signed by my childs pediatric drs office and they have never charged me an office visit for these services..
I had to call the billing department & the office manager multiple times only to get a cold response --"That is the office policy. Let me take a look at your account.." While I am disputing this with the doctors office & the manager there, I get a debt collection notice instead of a call back from the office manager!! . In all fairness, where is the logic in that..?? I would have thought the doctors office would call me back when they already knew I was disputing the charges..
A week back (in Oct 2014), I had the same service done by my NEW drs office and they dint charge me a dime. I called them and the office staff asked me to drop in the form and they faxed the form to my insurance provider after getting it signed by the dr.
Why would 2 offices in the same area under the same NC medical board, treat the same request differently??. One office charges you and the other does not. All I can say from this experience is I would NEVER step back into that office again!
I honestly think that the lady at the front desk messed up when she forced me to take the appointment . All my attempts to dispute this did not stand a chance since I had an appointment ( please note an appointment for nothing..no checkups) based on the office log and it looked like I am delinquent on the charges.
So please be aware before you get any service here.. There are a lot of other doctors' offices in the area that gives you excellent service and treats you better and listens better to you. I could have saved ~$100.00 if I was going to the right drs office.
