  • This is a special occasion haircut/grooming place. Every time I have visited Emerson Joseph, it has been the result of a gift. It's not to say I would not go here more, because overall, the place is great, but $40+ haircuts aren't going to be routine for me in the near future. The location of Emerson Joseph is subtle. It is right across from Ruth's Chris on S. Tryon. The interior is nice, kind of like a modern rustic speakeasy. This place has lots of services (e.g. haircut, massage, facial), but I have just gone there for the haircut. The stylists are very good and friendly, and make sure you get what you are looking for. You also got a complimentary adult beverage offered to you when you walk in, so outside of an above average price tag, there is a lot to like about this place.
