My roommate found this place off the beaten path and it made for a very interesting afternoon! Mekong Palace is hidden inside an Asian-influenced strip mall food court.
We went for midday dim sum (small taster plates of lots of authentic and unique dishes). You have to mentally prepare yourself for the service--three waitresses with full carts will swarm you at once and offer you all sorts of treats. It's pretty overwhelming, but once the panic subsided we were left with a pretty nice spread on our table.
Since I was pretty out of my element here, the only food I recognized was the chow mein (which was greasy and delicious). Some of the foods were one-time only buys (still not sure what kind of meat was wrapped in that egg roll casing) but others, like warm, yeasty pork rolls brought me to my knees.
All in all you get a lot of fun variety for a very low price! Definitely will return!
