  • So I've been to this place twice. The first time, it was super-awesome, and I love, love, love the divine desert sushi...hello?! Rice Krispy treats and ice cream? To die for. I started with the curry soup, quite good, with just a hint of spice. The sushi served was fresh and the portions (especially the sashimi) were quite large. My first experience at Moto? Overall excellent. Sadly, on my second visit, I encountered a hot restaurant (eeew, raw fish and a hot environment?) with mediocre service. We arrived at 12:30 and attempted the All You Can Eat Sushi, two full hours later we had eaten exactly about two rolls and two nigiris each. minus soy sauce for the first order since we never got our soy sauce bowls. We were told the AYCES would take about 15 minutes to prepare when in actuality it took just under an hour for each order. We watched as two different families sat at a table across from us and left after waiting for about 10 minutes to give a drink order, nobody ever came. Finally, this little grandpa with his two grandsons came in they, like us waited and waited. the grandfather told the server he felt he had been waiting too long (45 minutes), she offered an apology and sent the manager over who began to actually argue with the man, she actually asked if he had ever eaten at a sushi place before. Excuse me? Not professional. Then tried to tell him that the server had placed his order only 20 minutes earlier. He was confused as he had ordered a good 40-45 minutes earlier. The manager, again, argued with the man telling him he didn't order 45 minutes earlier. Bottom line: AYCES is horrible, we actually overheard the manager tell the man "The AYCES is prepared AFTER other regular orders, regardless of when placed, so that customers who order order off the regular menu get their food hot." Really? So the sushi chefs are also in the kitchen preparing soups and noodle dishes? Not likely. So, take the 18 bucks, add on the automatic 20% gratuity and you've got yourself a meal a little over 20 bucks a piece and you've only eaten 5 pieces of sushi. I will not return for AYCES, but for a dinner? Sure thing.
