My recent experience at the BOULDERS SPA left much to be desired.
We live in the boulders and have been summer members of the Golf Club & Boulders Spa over the years. So we are familiar with this property.
My wife booked two massages over Easter weekend both were set up to be 50 minute deep tissue massages. We were going to get a massage and then spend the day by the pool and have lunch.
After we finished our messages we met down at the spa pool. My wife explained to me how disappointed she was in her massage. She said on a scale of 1 to 10 - 10 being the best, this massage was a 3+ at best. She explained how the masseuse never used her hands. She said it was some kind of weird elbow rub & fore arm rubbing. My massage was nuts. I thought getting a massage was to be quiet and peaceful. I remember lots of stomping around me. I think she had combat boots on. My experience was less than satisfactory. my masseuse never got off the rolling chair. How do you give a deep tissue massage from a rolling chair? I don't know, but it was not normal. My real problem is they still have not called me back. Because it was Easter I was not in the mood to complain that day. we let the bad experience pass, and proceeded to relaxed by the pool and actually had an amazing lunch. Because we left town shortly after EASTER and just returned to Carefree this Tuesday. I had not had the time to call and complain. I have called the Spa three times and actually left a message on what I thought was a manager's voice mail. I did get a call back from an earlier message that I left on the general voice mail and did talk to a spa representative who was willing to listen to my issues. She did say that she would speak to the manager and that a manager would be calling me back within 24 hours. It's been longer than 24 hours and I have still not received a call from anyone. GOOD LUCK if you decide to choose the Boulders Spa.
