  • I purchased an iPhone through my previous employer and my employer, who had a corporate plan through AT&T, paid for the monthly service through their corporate plan. I have since left my prior employer and moved away. My prior employer released my number so that I can get my phone added to my current family plan with Verizon. I went to a local Verizon store and was advised that my phone can be added but the AT&T iPhone had to be unlocked. I went to a local AT&T store and they wrote down a website to go into and unlock my phone. They wouldn't do it for me. I thought, good thing I don't have AT&T service with the poor service I got from their store... I went into the AT&T website to unlock my phone but had trouble getting it unlocked. The website said I had to call in. I called AT&T customer service and after about 1 hour and 20 minute phone call, customer service told me they couldn't unlock my phone because my prior employer was past due on their bill. What??! Needless to say, I was upset. It has now been 3 months and I've made dozens of calls checking with AT&T if my phone can be unlocked yet and no results. This is by far the worst service with no resolutions and no one ate AT&T cares! I would give them negative stars if I could.
