| - The stylist Eikol is fantastic. I went in and didn't wait long, as all I needed was a style. No cut.
The stylist herself was very skilled, fast, and efficient (so was her assistant who also gave me a shoulder massage). The work itself was: curling my hair, putting in some hairspray to set it, and putting it half up (it was just a style for one night purpose).
What I am unhappy about is that after paying and getting their business card/mini pamphlet, I looked at it and noticed that the front desk manager charged $20 more than what he said when I initially walked in and asked about the price for a simple style ($30 he assured me).
The ending price was $50. How did it jump up $20? The only reason I paid it was because the stylist had spent an hour at least on my style. I also got a wash and blow dry. I also got their pamphlet *after* I left and so couldn't remember to ask "didn't you say a style was $30 and not $50?". Had I seen it, I would've brought it up. After taxes and tipping, my style came to $55, and $5 tip for the massage girl who did a good job. Before tips, $50. I've encountered this in a lot of Asian salons in Toronto, where they quote a price, then when you pay the price changes for the higher. This isn't professional guys. I also had friends tell me that they got different prices at the same salons we all went to. So not only do the prices change from customer to customer at Seefu, they also seem to play down the price when you first walk in and ask.
Note: I always walk in and ask before getting anything done, i guess that's quite normal. And the price the manager with glasses quoted was NOT the same as the end price. The pamphlet also confirmed he wasn't being truthful initially. I don't appreciate that.
